Sydney Festival is planning for 2021 with a focus on the recovery and rejuvenation of Australian arts, celebrating the very best new Australian work and the joy of shared live experiences. The safety and well-being of artists and audiences is foremost in our planning.
Patrons must follow NSW Health guidelines and follow COVID Safe practices when attending Sydney Festival events.
Face masks are mandatory at all Sydney Festival events for all patrons 12 years and older, in line with NSW Government regulations. A face mask is required at all times while inside foyers, theatres and outdoor venues, including during performances. Children under 12 are exempt but are encouraged to wear masks where practicable.
As Government recommendations evolve we will continue to update information about Festival attendance. You can also visit our venue pages to see specific conditions of entry.
Patrons who reside in or have recently visited any of the identified COVID-19 case locations in the last 14 days should follow NSW Health orders and not attend the Festival.
Attending the Festival when you are unwell puts yourself and others at risk. Attending while under quarantine or isolation orders is prohibited, and if you appear to have COVID-19 symptoms you may be denied entry to minimise the risk to others.
With your co-operation, trust and patience, we can make Sydney Festival a safe event for everyone.

Sneeze into your elbow
We all know that there's nothing like a trip to the theatre and a silent room to tease out a random cough or a sneeze. If you feel one coming on, don't be shy, fire it into your elbow. |
Practice good hygiene
Wash your hands frequently and thoroughly (at least 20
seconds). Hand sanitiser is available at all venues and we encourage its use.

Maintain physical distancing
Help reduce the risk of COVID-19 infection by keeping your distance from other people where possible and avoiding close contact with people you do not live with.

Wear a mask
As announced by the NSW Government, face masks are mandatory in indoor settings for all patrons. Children under 12 are exempt but are encouraged to wear masks where practicable. |
