Casula Powerhouse Arts Centre is a cultural facility of the Liverpool City Council. We are currently experiencing a period of unprecedented growth, compelling us to expand and diversify our programming as the Powerhouse becomes a true multi-disciplinary arts centre. Above all, we provide access to the arts that everyone can relate, understand and appreciate.
Funded by Arts NSW, the Casula Powerhouse aims to draw on the strengths of its community, to make work that speaks to both people locally and globally. With over 140 languages spoken in the local area, we represent our city’s culturally diverse stories. As both producer and presenter, we highlight the skill and creativity of local residents’ works and high-quality exhibitions, performances and programs from groups outside Liverpool. Helping to grow the creative industry in South West Sydney, we provide opportunities for new, emerging and establish artists mainly from this region.
Located on Tharawal country, the centre is surrounded by 2 kilometers of stunning parklands along the banks of the Georges River.
