ERTH VISUAL & PHYSICAL INC. WORLD PREMIERE

Innovators in the realm of visual and physical theatre, Erth, return to Sydney Festival with an unmissable experience with rare and endangered animals.

At Carriageworks you’ll find a guided tour like no other. Duba, meaning ‘ground’ in Sydney language, leads you into the living underworld for an encounter with the seldom seen. This multi-sensory, puppetry-based experience is filled with creations inspired by work with leading international conservation zoos.

Enter the warm cocoon of the earth and confront the vulnerability of our ecosystem, as you encounter flora and fauna on the verge of extinction, in this immersive experience.

Erth’s work has delighted and inspired audiences for more than 30 years. From a six-metre puppet honouring First Nations custodianship of the land (Winter Camp, Vivid Sydney 2019) to a flying bicycle (Sydney Festival 2019) and epic dinosaur creations (Dinosaur Zoo), this team of creators, makers and performers are internationally renowned for pushing the limits of design, content and experience.

Duba at Carriageworks is part a two-part project and you can find the companion piece Badu at the Maritime Museum.
