This event is licensed and minors will need to be accompanied by adults.
Q. What time should I arrive?
Gates open at 6pm and the performance will begin at 8.00pm. Bars and food trucks will be available prior to the performance as you settle into your seats.
Q: Is photography allowed?
Yes, Sydney Festival encourages visitors to photograph or film their visit for personal use and share it with us using #sydfest, #thecrescent and #crescentsummerseries
Q: What happens if it rains?
The Crescent Parramatta Park is an outdoor, all-weather venue and Sydney Festival is committed to going ahead with performances come rain or shine. Please come prepared for all weather conditions.
Q: What items are not allowed to be brought in?
Please do not bring high backed chairs, tables, drinking glasses, fireworks, weapons or promotional materials, as they will not be allowed on site. Tarps, tents and shade structures are not permitted in the event area.
Q. Can I sit anywhere?
On your ticket you will find an allocated colour section (pink, red, blue etc.) that will indicate where you will be seated.
Once you are checked in you will be given a coloured wristband and directed to your section. Please follow instructions from the Sydney Festival team. If you are seated in a general admission section it is advised to arrive early to secure your preferred viewing space.
Q: What seating is provided?
Allocated fixed seating can be purchased at an increased ticket price. For non-seated general admission areas you are welcome to bring low folding chairs, and are encouraged to bring picnic blankets to sit on.
Q. Can I move around the site?
Audience members must remain seated while at The Crescent, unless you are utilising the food trucks, bars, or toilet facilities. Dancing or mingling during the performance is prohibited, in line with NSW Health orders.
Q: Can I buy food onsite?
There will be food trucks at the event with a range of food and beverages for sale from the afternoon to the end of the evening. However, glass (including drinking glasses, bottles, jars and other glass containers) is not permitted on site. Please ensure waste is disposed of in the rubbish bins located around the site.
Q. Can I pay with cash?
No, food trucks and bars will be strictly card only.
Q: Is there free drinking water?
Yes, water fountains are available at the event to refill your bottles. Please look for water banners around the site and bring your own reusable bottle.
Q: Are there toilets?
Yes, toilets (including accessible toilets) are located at various points around the Crescent. Look out for signage or see one of our helpful Sydney Festival volunteers for directions.
Q: Is there first aid?
Yes, St John’s Ambulance will be present should you require assistance. They will be located to the right side as you look at the stage. Should you require immediate assistance, please see Sydney Festival staff or security.
Q. Do I need to wear a face mask?
Wearing a face mask is recommended at all Sydney Festival events.
Q. What steps are being taken to keep these performances COVID Safe?
The health and safety of Sydney Festival audience members is our highest priority in 2021. To ensure the wellbeing of yourself and others, the following measures have been put in place for performances at The Crescent at Parramatta Park:
• All audience members must check in to the venue using the Services NSW app
• Hand sanitiser will be provided at entry and throughout the site
• All coloured seating sections are spaced to allow enough room for patrons to seat at the current NSW Health Orders
• Cash will not be accepted at any on-site food trucks or bars. Cashless payments only
• The Crescent at Parramatta Park will be deep cleaned prior to each performance. Please be mindful of your surroundings and keep touching of common areas to a minimum
As Government recommendations evolve, we will continue to update information about Festival attendance. COVID Safe messages may be delivered before, during and after events. Listen out for information and follow the directions.

Q. Can visitors with accessibility requirements attend this event?
A viewing area for patrons with accessibility needs is located at the front on the right side as you look at the stage. Friends and family are also welcome in the designated viewing area. The precinct is relatively flat with a mix of grass and paved surfaces. Accessible amenities are available.
Accessible parking is available at the O'Connell Street car park for patrons that hold a Mobility Parking Scheme permit There is an accessible pathway from the car park to the viewing area which is 400m in distance and is a paved surface.
Q: Can I bring my dog?
No. Pets are not allowed in the venue for the Crescent Summer Series.
