Parramatta Park
Parramatta Park is a World Heritage-listed Park. The Park covers 85 hectares including The Crescent, Old Government House, The Dairy Cottage, Parramatta Observatory site, Bath House, Boer War Memorial, Lady Fitzroy Memorial and cultural and natural heritage areas with approximately 10 hectares of remnant Cumberland Plain vegetation.

The Crescent is one of Sydney's most sought-after major outdoor event spaces. This spectacular outdoor amphitheatre along Parramatta River, is at the centre of Parramatta Park and hosts concerts and events throughout the year, including The Crescent Summer Series and Sydney Festival’s Symphony Under the Stars.  

COVIDSAFE PROCEDURES

Face masks are mandatory at all Sydney Festival events for all patrons 13 years and older, in line with NSW Government regulations. A face mask is required at all times while inside foyers, theatres and outdoor venues, including during performances. Children 12 and under are exempt but are encouraged to wear masks where practicable.

Parramatta Park is a COVIDSafe venue.

Box Offices at Parramatta Park will accept Card Payment only, in order to better facilitate a COVIDSafe environment. Please come prepared.

ACCESS
Parramatta Park is committed to ensuring everyone is able to access and enjoy the picnic areas. There is a number of accessible parking spots located throughout the Park and all permanent toilet facilities have an accessible toilet.
Getting There
Situated in the geographical heart of Sydney, just 24km from the CBD, The Crescent in Parramatta Park is less than 30 minutes from Sydney’s major centres. Parramatta Station is a major transport hub for urban and intercity trains and buses. The Crescent is a 10-15minute walk from Parramatta or Westmead stations.

PUBLIC TRANSPORT
The Parramatta Shuttle Bus is a free transport solution that connects tourists, residents and commuters to the commercial, retail and recreational landmarks of the city. It runs every 10 minutes, seven days a week.

The bus operates on a continuous loop around the city centre, with three stops near Parramatta Park:

Stop 3 (Macquarie Street West near the Jessie Street Centre) – a short walk to the main Park gate, ideal for the Rumsey Rose Garden, Gatehouse Tea Rooms and Old Government House.

Stop 4 (O'Connell Street) - ideal for the Crescent event space, Old Kings Oval, Government Farm and areas on the northern riverbank.

Stop 5 (Leagues Club on O'Connell Street) - to access the park via the Buttons Bridge across the Parramatta River.

TRAIN
Parramatta Park is a short walk from both Parramatta and Westmead train stations. Refer to Transport NSW to plan your trip.

RIVERCAT
Parramatta Park is a short walk from the Charles Street wharf along pleasant riverside walking paths. Refer to Transport NSW to plan your trip.

BUS
The Parramatta bus terminal is located next to the Parramatta train station in Darcy and Argyle Streets. Refer to Transport NSW to plan your trip.

PARKING
We encourage visitors to catch public transport but recognise that many people do drive to Parramatta Park. We therefore manage the limited parking within the park to benefit all visitors.
