City Recital Hall has a hearing loop located in the auditorium. Please note that seats 51-54 in every row are not serviced by the hearing loop.
Wheelchair Access
There are two main entrances into City Recital Hall. The Pitt Street entrance has no steps with level access from the street leading into the ground floor foyer. Patrons can also enter via Ash street through the lift to the ground floor foyer.
There are two accessible parking spaces located on Pitt Street near the corner of Angel Place. Accessible parking spaces are also available in the Wilson Carpark next to City Recital Hall at 123 Pitt Street, beside the venue lifts. Patrons are able to access the Hall directly using the car park lift. Two courtesy wheelchairs are available for use on site, please contact the venue before your visit if you require a wheelchair.
Service Animals
Service animals are permitted into the venue.
Easy Read signage is provided throughout City Recital Hall. Viewing distances are also provided from the middle of the stage to the centre of the rows. Please visit the accessibility section of their website for distances.
Face masks are mandatory at all Sydney Festival events for all patrons 13 years and older, in line with NSW Government regulations. A face mask is required at all times while inside foyers, theatres and outdoor venues, including during performances. Children 12 and under are exempt but are encouraged to wear masks where practicable.
A strict lockout period applies. Please arrive early to avoid disappointment.
Casey Donovan
After a meteoric rise to fame at the age of 16, Casey became the youngest ever winner of Australian Idol in 2004. Casey is a multi-Award winner and nominee, including an ARIA No #1 Award for Listen with Your Heart and Deadly Awards for Best Album, Best Single and Most Promising New Talent as well as winner of the public vote for her song Proud for Eurovision Australia Decides 2020. More recently, Casey performed the role of Matron Mama Morton in the musical Chicago in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane.
