Sydney Writers' Festival: Something to Talk About

In his 2015 anthem, 'The Children Came Back', rapper, actor and children’s author Briggs called out to a new generation of kids, linking their hopes and dreams with extraordinary elders and artists that had come before. Now a bestselling book Our Home, Our Heartbeat, this cry fits into a tradition of powerful books for children telling Aboriginal stories and connecting storytellers from across generations.

Join Sydney Writers' Festival for a special First Nations storytelling event for the whole family, where Briggs will be joined by fellow Indigenous picture book authors – including the incomparable Archie Roach (joining via digital stream) – in a joyful celebration of the oldest continuing culture in the world.
