COVIDSAFE PROCEDURES
Face masks are mandatory at all Sydney Festival events for all patrons 13 years and older, in line with NSW Government regulations. A face mask is required at all times while inside foyers, theatres and outdoor venues, including during performances. Children 12 and under are exempt but are encouraged to wear masks where practicable.
The State Theatre and Sydney Film Festival are registered COVID Safe organisations. This event has allocated seating following NSW Health guidelines for social distancing. You will be seated in accordance with the guidelines in place at the time of your ticket purchase. Additional details will be sent to ticket holders prior to the event, including the most up to date information on enjoying the SFF Summer Season safely.
The main entrance of the State Theatre on Market Street is accessible for people using a wheelchair. There is temporary ramp access to the Mezzanine Level.
The State Theatre has 6 wheelchair accessible tickets available. These seats are situated on the Mezzanine Level and can be booked by contacting the Sydney Film Festival directly on 1300 733 733.
An accessible toilet is located next door. To access these facilities, please inform any staff member who will be happy to escort any patrons. Rest points are available in foyer and bathroom areas.
The State Theatre has a hearing loop located in the mezzanine. Optimal seats are in the Mezzanine are Row G seats 13-44.
The Cinema has 6 wheelchair seats.
PUBLIC TRANSPORT
The State Theatre is located 50-100 metres from major bus interchanges at Castlereagh, Elizabeth, George and York Streets. Town Hall and St James train stations are a 5-10 minute walk from the theatre. Town Hall is an accessible station with access details available online.
