Sydney’s live music venues have been shuttered and its musicians have lost income – it’s time to recover and reconnect. In 2021 Sydney Festival is inviting audiences back in to share in the joy of live music.

Our proud history of showcasing Australian talent continues with a diverse and vibrant program featuring iconic Sydney bands, solo artists, DJs and local record label takeovers, curated with Sydney Fringe.

The storied inner-west homegrounds of Sydney’s alt-rock and indie scenes return with gigs at Marly Bar, The Vanguard, The Factory, The Landsdowne, The Old 505 Theatre, Waywards and Erskineville Anglican Church.

Surry Hills and Darlinghurst are also throwing open their doors for live shows at Low 302 and Eternity Playhouse.

It’s time to shake off 2020 and kick out the jams for 2021.
